When you create an account, we collect your email address (or, if you use Sign in with Apple, the information Apple provides). You can also add your name and, if you like, the Bible version you usually read. When you record a verse, we store the audio recording of your voice.
Every recording you make is private by default and visible only to you, unless you choose to share your Bible with a specific friend from the Account tab. Friends you share with can listen to everything you've recorded and download it for offline listening. You can stop sharing at any time, though recordings a friend has already downloaded may remain on their device. We do not share your recordings with anyone else or any third party.
Your recordings are saved on your device first. A backup copy is uploaded to our secure cloud storage (provided by Supabase) so you don't lose your progress if you switch devices. Only your account, and anyone you've explicitly shared your Bible with, can access your recordings.
Your name is shown to friends you share your Bible with. We may look at which Bible versions people prefer, in total and not tied to anyone, to decide which versions to add to the app. If you send us feedback, we receive your email address and the app and iOS version you're using, so we can help.
We don't show ads, sell your data, or share it with advertisers or data brokers. We don't use your recordings for any purpose other than playing them back to you and the friends you've shared with.
You can delete individual recordings at any time, or delete your account and all associated data, including your recordings, from the Account tab in the app.
